Workmain Inc. ("Among", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Among platform, an AI-powered B2B procurement marketplace for commercial services in the Miami-Dade area. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our platform, including our SMS messaging service, web application, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly and information generated through your use of the Service:

  • Contact information: business name, phone number, email address, and business address
  • Procurement details: service requests, quote specifications, purchase orders, and transaction records
  • SMS communications: messages exchanged through our platform to facilitate procurement
  • Business profile data: service categories, service areas, pricing information, and business descriptions
  • Uploaded documents: product and service listings, price lists, and other files you upload to the platform
  • Chat conversations: messages exchanged with our AI procurement assistant through the web application
  • Device and network data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers collected automatically when you access the platform
  • Anonymous session data: if you use the Service without an account, we assign a session token stored in your browser to link your activity to your purchase request

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to operate and improve the Among platform:

  • Match buyer procurement requests with qualified local vendors
  • Facilitate SMS and web-based conversations between buyers and our AI procurement assistant
  • Deliver quote requests to vendors and return structured quotes to buyers
  • Generate purchase orders and track transaction status
  • Improve our AI matching algorithms and service quality
  • Train and fine-tune our proprietary AI models to deliver better procurement assistance
  • Send transactional notifications about your orders, quotes, and account activity
  • Send promotional communications if you have opted in to receive them

AI and Automated Processing

Among uses artificial intelligence to process your procurement requests, match you with vendors, and assist with conversations. Here is how your data is used in connection with AI:

  • Your messages and procurement details are processed by third-party AI service providers to generate responses and recommendations. These providers act as data processors under contractual obligations and do not use your data for their own purposes.
  • Among uses conversation data to train and improve its own proprietary AI models. This training uses aggregated and de-identified data where possible, but may include the content of your messages to improve service quality.
  • AI-generated responses, quotes, and recommendations are stored as part of your transaction records.
  • You may request that your data not be used for AI model training by contacting us at privacy@amonghq.com. This will not affect your ability to use the Service.

SMS Messaging

Among uses SMS as a primary communication channel. By providing your phone number and initiating or responding to SMS communication with Among, you provide your prior express consent to receive text messages from us, including:

  • Transactional messages: quote requests, vendor responses, purchase order confirmations, delivery updates, and service rating requests. Message frequency varies based on your procurement activity.
  • Promotional messages: if you have opted in, you may receive marketing messages about new features, services, or promotions. You can opt out of promotional messages separately from transactional messages.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.
  • You can opt out of all SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a confirmation and no further messages will be sent.

  • Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Marketing Communications

We may send you promotional emails or SMS messages about Among services, features, and offers. We will only send marketing communications if you have provided explicit opt-in consent. You may opt out at any time by:

  • Clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email

Opting out of marketing communications will not affect transactional messages related to your active orders and account.

Information Sharing

We share your information only as necessary to provide the Service:

  • With vendors: when you submit a procurement request, relevant details are shared with matched vendors so they can provide quotes
  • With buyers: when you submit a quote as a vendor, your business information and pricing are shared with the requesting buyer
  • With service providers: we use the following third-party services that process data on our behalf under contractual obligations — messaging providers (for SMS delivery), authentication providers (for secure login and identity verification), database providers (for data storage), cloud hosting providers (for application delivery and edge computing), analytics providers (for usage analytics), AI service providers (for conversation processing), and cloud storage providers (for file and document storage)
  • With legal authorities: if required by law, subpoena, court order, or governmental regulation, or to protect our rights, property, or safety

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. We have not sold personal information in the preceding 12 months and have no plans to do so.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and other applicable state privacy laws, you have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. Data Location

Your data is processed and stored in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Data Retention

  • Active accounts: your information is retained for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
  • Transaction records: retained for a minimum of 3 years for legal and accounting purposes.
  • Anonymous sessions: if you use the Service without creating an account, your session data (including messages and purchase information) is retained for 30 days and then automatically deleted.
  • Account deactivation: when you request deletion of your account, we deactivate it and cease displaying your information. Certain data may be retained in our systems for legal, accounting, and compliance purposes, but will not be used for any other purpose.
  • We will respond to data deletion requests within 45 days of receipt. If we require additional time, we will notify you of the reason and extension.

Our web application uses the following technologies to provide and improve the Service:

  • Analytics: we use PostHog to understand how users interact with our platform, including page views, clicks, and session data. PostHog processes this data on our behalf.
  • Local storage: we store session tokens and purchase identifiers in your browser's local storage to maintain your session when using the Service without an account. This data is linked to your purchase activity and is merged into your account upon registration, or deleted after 30 days if no account is created.
  • We do not use third-party advertising trackers or sell data collected through cookies or tracking technologies.

Children's Privacy

Among is a business-to-business service and is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
